Super Aguri F1 completed its first test today as Takuma Sato shook down the team’s ‘interim’ car at the Kemble airfield in Gloucestershire.

Sato, who is expected to be confirmed as one of the Honda-backed squad’s two drivers shortly, completed two runs in an all-white, sponsor-free car.

Super Aguri will make its first official appearance when it joins other F1 teams for the first time at next week’s Barcelona test.

The Aguri Suzuki-owned outfit has been working to a compressed timetable due to its late decision to enter the 2006 world championship and the delay in getting its entry approved by the FIA.
